"Get The Lead Out"

During the summer of 1998, the South Florida Spearfishing Club will volunteer the membership to clean up around one of the world's most popular fishing piers, the Pompano Fishing Pier. The surrounding area of this pier went unchecked for years and until last year the surrounding reef was never touched.

This is just a portion of the debris taken from the Pompano Fishing Pier on the 1997 "Get The Lead Out" dive. Over 600 pounds of lead was removed from the area as well. The divers are from the Lighthouse Point Saltwater Sportsman Association and the South Florida Spearfishing Club.
